Larne YMCA seeks support in raising funds for new boiler

Councillor Andrew Clarke outlines the fundraising efforts at Larne YMCA, with money urgently needed to replace the broken heating system.

00:00I'm here outside Larne YMCA and we need your help. Last week in the middle of the

00:06rain and the wind and the cold the boiler broke. It's a big building, it takes a big

00:11boiler and it takes big money to fix. So if you can give anything, no matter how

00:16small, it really would be appreciated. YMCA, we've been here for more than 40

00:21years and they do a fantastic job with the young people in Larne. They do all sorts of

00:25things. It's a really busy place, open almost every day doing things like sports, crafts,

00:30cooking, education, childcare, they do trips. In fact recently we sent a whole

00:35group over to New York. Really vibrant and busy and need it in Larne. So if you

00:40can help at all, please donate and it really would be appreciated. Thanks.
