00:00The farmers in Albay are positive that their production of rice is increasing

00:05thanks to the free fertilizer provided by the Agriculture Department.

00:10For more details, J.M. Olarte of Radyo Pilipinas-Albay has a national news report.

00:18I am very thankful to Jelling for receiving the free fertilizer from the Department of Agriculture in Kamaling, Albay.

00:25She is a big help to increase their production of rice and earn a lot.

00:30By giving help, we are also increasing not only our income but also the benefits they are giving through the D.A.

00:42Jelling is one of the more than 100 farmers who received a fertilizer voucher discount

00:47from the villages of Ginubatan and Kamaling, Albay.

00:51This two-day distribution is a part of the National Rice Program of the D.A.

00:56The government of Panlalawigan and LGU-Kamaling are happy about it.

00:59This is what the National gives us to assist our farmers.

01:05Actually, this happens every cropping. They receive help from the Department of Agriculture.

01:11The amount of fertilizer they received depends on the area of the farm or 3,400 pesos per hectare.

01:17This means that almost 590 hectares of rice in these two villages will benefit the farmers

01:23to increase their production of rice.

01:26This is just one of the steps of the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

01:31to strengthen the sector of agriculture and continue to help the Filipino farmers.
