00:00high-pressured running where every goal, every result really has that bit of pressure around
00:07it now for Arnish's side. It's all credit to them to have worked so hard and played
00:13so well to get to this situation where they are still alive in the competitions, obviously
00:20albeit the FA Cup. But in terms of the Champions League, Premier League, that sort of debate,
00:26debacle between the fans, what they'd prefer, what they'd rather go and win. If they can't
00:31win both of them, of course, which obviously is a possibility. Do you feel they should go
00:37all out for the Premier League title with that factor of not winning it for so long,
00:43then winning it with no fans in the ground? They've won the Champions League since,
00:48of course, with their fans. What's your thoughts on where they should
00:52really put their eggs into which basket come this end of the season?
00:57I think there is maybe a little bit of a case to be made. Now, I don't think Arnish Slott would
01:03take that on board because when Liverpool went off the FA Cup, he was absolutely fuming.
01:11He wasn't in his mannerisms after the game, but the language he was using, he basically said
01:16these players were good enough to go and win that game. He saw that as a way to get the fringe
01:21players minutes. He'll see, like a lot of managers, winning breeds confidence and you
01:29want to win as many games as possible and keep the ball rolling. But as you say, the Premier
01:36League, they're in the driving seat now, very much so. We speak the seven points clear and
01:41it's theirs to lose. Where's the Champions League? It's going to be difficult. It looks like it's
01:48going to be PSG or Benfica. If you play PSG, that's a very, very difficult two legs. How much
01:54is that going to take out of Liverpool? The additional risk of injuries then you've got,
02:00and then let's not forget that Liverpool have got the Carabao Cup final against Newcastle next
02:05month. That's a game that all fans will want to win. So, as you say, the Premier League title,
02:11it's the one that there's still a little bit of a sour taste in fans' minds just because of what
02:18happened last time. It still gets bandied around as such as the COVID title. But yeah, they didn't
02:25get to celebrate that one properly and they've come so close a couple of times with City. They
02:32ranked City close in 22-23 and they were in it until the latter stages of last season.
02:39So, I dare say there might be some fans who think, let's get off the Champions League. But
02:44another thing with the Champions League is it brings a lot of revenue into the club and Liverpool
02:48lost out on that revenue last season being in the Europa League. So, that's something else you've
02:53got to factor in. But I don't think Arnaslott will be giving up on either competition, definitely.
