00:15The Penang Water Supply Corporation said the scheduled disruptions, which will begin at

00:209 p.m. on Friday, are linked to a pipeline diversion project to accommodate state flood

00:24mitigation works along the Tun Dr. Lim Chong Yu Expressway.

00:29In a statement, PBAPP CEO K. Padmanathan said consumers in the affected areas are advised

00:35to store sufficient water for use during the scheduled water supply interruption.

00:40He apologized for the water cuts, which are expected to end at noon on Saturday, but said

00:45they were necessary to facilitate the project.

00:48Updates on the water cuts will be available on PBAPP's Facebook page or through its

00:5324-hour call center at 04-255-8255.
