00:10The new Migrant Workers Office of the Philippines is scheduled to open this year in Bangkok, Thailand.

00:17It was announced by Philippine Ambassador to Thailand Millicent Cruz Paredes

00:22during the Radyo Pilipinas World Service.

00:24Finally, the Migrant Workers Office of the Philippines will open this year in Bangkok.

00:34That is, of course, the next step of the establishment of the new Department of Migrant Workers.

00:42The Philippine Embassy is currently in the process of servicing Filipinos in Thailand

00:47while the MWO is not yet open.

00:50The Philippine Labor Attaché is still arranging its employment in the country.

00:55The Migrant Workers Office is the job of the Philippine government that primarily assists in protecting OFWs

01:03such as the verification of potential employers.

01:06Its aim is to avoid trafficking to Filipinos, especially pecking companies abroad.
