00:00Manila Electric Company or Meralco announced an increase in electricity bills this March.

00:06From the previous 12.2 pesos per kilowatt hour, it will increase to 12.29 pesos per kilowatt hour.

00:14For those who usually consume 200 kilowatts per hour, this will add 53 pesos to their monthly bill.

00:22According to Meralco, this is due to regulatory reset, fee adjustment,

00:26high transmission charge, and feed-in tariff allowance.

00:31However, the distribution charge hasn't changed since August 2022.

00:57Set it to 25 degrees instead of 18 and 19, the usual settings, if we want it to be very cold.

01:0925 is comfortable, but at the same time, it doesn't hurt our bills too much.
