00:00An ambassador continues that the return of Mary Jane Veloso is a symbol of good friendship between the Philippines and Indonesia.

00:24This was the statement of Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Medardo Macaraig in the Radyo Pilipinas World Service

00:31up to the return of Mary Jane Veloso to the Philippines.

00:35Our country is lucky because it is not yet common for such a big case to happen.

00:42Ambassador Macaraig thanked the officials of the government for fulfilling the return of Mary Jane Veloso.

00:50We would like to thank them.

00:55Of course, we would also like to thank the officials of the Philippines who worked for us.

01:00Mary Jane Veloso returned to the Philippines after more than 10 years of imprisonment in Indonesia for drug trafficking.

01:08According to Justice Undersecretary Raul Vasquez,

01:11following Veloso's return to the Philippines,

01:13there will be an opportunity to reduce his sentence for imprisonment in the Philippines

01:20through the Good Conduct Time Allowance or GCTA.
