Huang Kuo-chang has won the Taiwan People’s Party online chairperson by-election, making him the new leader of the country's third largest political party.

00:16former TPP lawmaker Tsai Pi-ru. The election for the new leader of the country's third

00:22largest party was held to replace founder Ke Wen-je. Ke resigned as chairman in January

00:28while being detained incommunicado on corruption charges. Huang's term in office will last

00:34until the end of 2026.
