00:00Shreyas, obviously tell us about the run of emotions during those last two overs when the situation got tight during the run chase

00:07It was fun to be honest. We were all sitting together

00:11And Rahul sir was getting pretty tense. He was passing on the message. But yeah, I think a lot of players they showed really good

00:19Emotions out there. They were very calm and composed in the pressure situation and since we have played so many matches lately, I think

00:27All these emotions we have already seen them and you know today it was just another game for us to you know

00:40Speaking about personal performances, how happy were you with your own batting performance?

00:44I was really happy to get to what score I got today, but really

00:49Unhappy the way I was discussed. I thought that I could have taken the team through easily and you know

00:54I was setting up the total, but very unfortunate with the wicket and hopefully I get to score a century in the next one

01:01Tell us a bit about your partnership with Sanju Samson, obviously a very crucial partnership in the run chase

01:09Definitely, we lost two back-to-back wickets

01:1364-3 I guess and from there we had to rebuild and

01:18Sanju came and he obviously showed a lot of intent and I was already batting

01:23I faced around 20 balls and I was batting on 15

01:25So I knew what I was going to do and Sanju at the same time

01:28You know, he faced a few balls and they need to go over the spinners

01:31He hit them for two sixes and suddenly the momentum shifted towards us

01:34So, you know from there onwards we really built on the partnership and we you know

01:40Carried forward the momentum towards us. Fifth time batting at number three and one international cricket

01:44How much have you enjoyed this new role for India and is it something you see yourself in going forward?

01:48It's definitely I think it's one of the best positions to bat at because you go at a very tough situation

01:53If the wicket falls in early you go in and you have to see the new ball and then you know

01:58Build your innings there from there on and also if you know, if the batsmen

02:02the openers have gone into a really good partnership, then you have to go and

02:10Irritating guy here

02:11So yeah, if there is a really good opening partnership

02:15You just have to you know

02:17Carry forward that momentum take it on from where they've left and see to it that the run rate is maintained

02:22So it's it's a fun position to bat at and I really enjoy it

02:25You got just one opportunity in England and then obviously there were no you didn't play from that point of view

02:33From your personal point of view

02:35Do you think that this back-to-back hundred especially this series has come at a right time the runs you have got at the right time?

02:41Yeah, as I mentioned before that you know

02:46Playing in the team is not in my hand

02:48What I can do is play hard off the field and see to it that you know

02:52Whenever I get the opportunity I have to maximize it and that's what I've been doing

02:56today and

02:58even for yesterday, I got the opportunity to represent my country that's bigger than anything I feel and

03:03And I gave my hundred percent and when I left the field I had no regrets
