00:04the office of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. will be official
00:09of V. Benchel Vince Dizon from February 21
00:13as the new secretary of the Department of Transportation.
00:17Before he was appointed to the post, according to the PCO,
00:21Dizon has been in the public service for almost three decades
00:24when he started as an economic researcher of the Senate.
00:28After graduating from Economics and Commerce at De La Salle University in 1996,
00:34he became the chief of staff of former Senator Edgardo Angara.
00:39During the previous administration,
00:41Dizon led the Business Conversion and Development Authority.
00:45He also became the presidential advisor for flagship programs
00:49and testing czar during the COVID-19 pandemic.
00:53According to Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin,
00:55the Office of the President gave a go signal to Dizon
01:00to start the transition to DOTR and coordination with the team
01:05led by Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista.
