00:00So you're probably one of the younger people here at this summit this week.
00:04Why did you want to be a part of it, and what perspective do you hope you bring to the summit table?
00:08That's a really good question. I always want to be a part of anything Creative Coalition does,
00:11and that's not just me being nice or sucking up. I legitimately love this organization,
00:15and every single thing I've gotten to do with them has just been the time of my life.
00:18I just get to work with these cool, awesome people who are so good in whatever their field is,
00:22and it's such a diverse group of people, too.
00:24Like, there's everything from actors to lawyers to writers to whoever,
00:29and it really shows you that any job you do, if you approach it with love and passion and creativity, it is art.
00:34And honestly, it is cool being on the younger side,
00:39but everybody here has such a, it sounds mean to say a childish energy, I guess childlike,
00:46kind of that energy and excitement to approach a topic that everyone's passionate about here.
00:50So it doesn't really feel like anything's different between a person my age, double my age, or whatever,
00:57because everybody wants to be here and is excited to be here and has that drive and that passion.
01:01So I guess I hope to bring the same perspective that everyone else is bringing,
01:05which is just joy and love to be here.
01:07I love that. What do you hope this group accomplishes by the end of the day tomorrow?
01:11Billions of dollars for the arts. Just an insane amount of money.
01:15I hope, I think the ultimate goal is just for people to realize that the arts is not just this extra little side thing
01:25that we don't really need to be focusing on, and it's more important to put our money towards other things.
01:30I think, if you think about the way you walk through the world and the things you see every day,
01:35imagine that every building was concrete with no windows.
01:38Imagine that every outfit you wore was just a grey, bland tracksuit.
01:43Imagine that everything you did was devoid of color and meaning and music.
01:48It would change the way you see the world, the way you interact with other people.
01:52It's so crazy because you don't even realize it, but every single thing in your life is touched by art.
01:57And I think when people realize that and put money and care towards it,
02:00it allows it to flourish and make our communities more beautiful, more engaging, more inclusive,
02:06more diverse, getting more stories out there, more viewpoints, and that makes the world a better place.
