00:00The splash from Golden State transferred over to the Dallas Mavericks in Wednesday night's
00:08matchup at American Airline Center where injuries did not faze them.
00:12They finished victorious with a final score of 111-107.
00:17Ahead of this matchup, head coach Jason Kidd expressed his sentiments on how challenging
00:21it has been to deal with the recent injuries.
00:23He said that a team with this many injuries is nothing that he's seen before, but all
00:27they can do is keep going.
00:29This was a game of three-pointers, starting with Klay Thompson's performance against his
00:32former teammates where he hit two back-to-back threes just to get that momentum going there
00:36in the first quarter.
00:37Kyrie Irving also had a huge scoring night as he finished 70 percent from beyond the
00:41arc and this is the third time this season that he has scored 40-plus points.
00:46The main goal for the Mavericks was to slow down Golden State, and that being the culprit
00:50Stephen Curry.
00:51He had a quiet scoring night until the fourth quarter where he scored 11 points and was
00:55able to bring the Warriors to have their first lead of the game.
00:59Leading the Mavericks, Kyrie Irving finished with 42 points and 7 rebounds.
01:03For more on Golden State, take it away Sydney.
01:07For the first time since the Golden State Warriors traded for Jimmy Butler, they lose.
01:11Now while Stephen Curry and Butler combined for 46 points, it was Kyrie Irving who led
01:16the way for all scorers and the Mavs to victory.
01:20Warriors head coach Steve Kerr says, Kyrie forces your hand.
01:24He controlled the game with the shot making and the way he manipulated our defense, he
01:28was fantastic.
01:29The Mavs will stay home for a back-to-back where they take on the Miami Heat ahead of
01:33the All-Star break.
