00:00Two Filipinos were paid to be drug buoys of a West African syndicate in Gip, Malaysia.

00:06The Filipinos were taken to Malaysia to deliver illegal drugs to them in Hong Kong.

00:18Two Filipinos were paid to be drug buoys of a West African syndicate in Gip, Malaysia.

00:24At the press conference on Wednesday morning, the National Bureau of Investigation arrested the two Filipinos

00:31who were hiding their identities for their protection.

00:35According to NBI Director Jaime Santiago, the two Filipinos were brought to Malaysia

00:40and they will receive 2.6 kilograms of cocaine worth 15.6 million pesos that they will bring to Hong Kong.

00:50But with the help of NBI and Malaysian authorities, the drug package was blocked before it reached the Filipinos

00:57and an African drug courier was arrested.

01:00It was found out that the Filipinos were paid P5,000 or P300,000 less.

01:08The arrested African was taken to Malaysia for interrogation while the two Filipinos were given counseling

01:17and they will not face criminal liability.

01:20Director Santiago also said that because of the successful operation,

01:25they were able to avoid the occurrence of another very dangerous case.
