00:14Sangguniang Panlawigan approved the declaration of the State of Calamity

00:19of Negros Occidental because of the eruption of Vulcan Canlaon.

00:22In a special session,

00:24the recommendation of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council

00:29under the State of Calamity was approved by the province.

00:32Sangguniang Panlawigan also approved the recommendation of the PDRRMC

00:37to release the Calamity Fund for the implementation of the Price-Free

00:40in Basic Necessities and Prime Commodities and the use of the Quick Response Fund.

00:45In the declaration of the State of Calamity,

00:47this is a big help in disaster response operations

00:50according to the Office of Civil Defense Western Visayas Director Raul Fernandez.

00:54In addition to the official,

00:55the local presidents will use their QRF

00:58for continuous assistance to the affected residents.

01:02In the ongoing disaster response operations,

01:05OCD Western Visayas also provided assistance

01:08to the affected residents of Vulcan Canlaon in the province of Negros Occidental.

01:13The Philippine Army, Philippine Coast Guard, and Police Regional Office 6

01:17helped to deliver water and non-food items to warehouses and evacuation centers in the province.

01:24In monitoring of OCD Region 6,

01:26more than 12,000 individuals in the province of Negros Occidental

01:30are in evacuation centers.
