00:13Dubai kick-started its ninth car-free day with top officials leading the drive by ditching

00:18cars to work this morning.

00:20Dr. Thani Ahmed Al-Zaidouni, the Minister of Climate Change and Environment, joined

00:26Hussain Nasir Luta, Director-General in Dubai Municipality, and heads of various government

00:32departments were present to lead the initiative.

00:35The senior officials boarded the metro from the Ittisalat station to reach the Union station.

00:40A grand celebration was held at the Union Metro Park.

00:44Wearing a prosthetic left arm, Mohammad Yusuf Javid, who walked all the way from Sharjah

00:49to Dubai, became a crowd-puller at the Dubai Municipality's car-free day celebrations.

00:55I walked from Sharjah, Al-Qa'an, to Dubai, to this venue.

01:00When I reached the clock tower, the Dubai Economic Department staff all joined me.

01:08They said, greeted me.

01:10They said, come along with us.

01:14See, at least one day in a month, please stay away from the car.
