00:03The government's dedication to peace was cried out.

00:07Michael Uy of BIA Davao Region in Balitang Pambansa.

00:13In his face-off with the former rebelling New People's Army in Davao de Oro,

00:18Secretary Ernesto Antonio Lagdameo gave the Special Assistant to the President

00:23the government's programs for peace.

00:26This includes the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program

00:29that helps former rebels to live in peace and trust the society.

00:35The former rebels also received P5,000 from the President

00:41and food packs from the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

00:44This day proves that our programs for peace are effective.

00:51This shows the strong commitment of our government

00:56from the national level to the level of the government

01:00together with our soldiers and the entire community.

01:04According to the 10th Infantry Division,

01:06the 232 former rebels facing Secretary Lagdameo

01:12came from Davao and the provinces of Agusan del Sur and Mukidnon

01:16and were surrendered to the government in January 2024 and January 2025.

01:21We are grateful for your support and your decision to live your life.

01:31Lagdameo's family also gave P1 million

01:35for the initial capital for the survival of the former rebels

01:39from BIA Davao Region, Michael Uy for Balitang Pambansa.
