Lula da Silva to discuss agrarian reform agenda with rural workers

00:12The president indicated that during his visit he will make announcements impacting the agrarian

00:17reform agenda, among them the signing of decrees for the assignation of five symbolic areas

00:23for the movement.

00:24President Lula is also expected to announce the so-called Desenrollo Rural Programme,

00:30which aims to cancel up to 80% of the current debt owned by rural workers and present an

00:36installment plan for the payment.

00:38The Landless Rural Workers Movement has met on several occasions with the Lula da Silva

00:43government to promote the agrarian reform agenda during his term.
