00:17nominating contest, creating a three-way presidential competition with Senator Marco Rubio. Cruz
00:23won the first state Republican contest with 28 percent of the vote compared to 24 percent
00:28for Trump. On the Democratic side, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and US
00:34Senator Bernie Sanders came in deadlocked, both receiving roughly 50 percent in a race
00:39that was too close to call. Some agencies reported that Clinton had won by an extremely
00:44slender margin, but there was no official confirmation.
00:49Syrian peace talks have gained a bit of momentum with the UN Special Envoy formally declaring
00:53the start of indirect negotiations. Staffan de Mistura's declaration came even as the
