00:00I'm here at the Select Car Leasing Stadium where Shrewsbury Town have taken

00:05a point against Reading in League One. It means they go three games unbeaten in

00:10the third tier of English football and they've taken seven points from their

00:14last three league fixtures. Their kind of revival under Gareth Ainsworth

00:19continued here in Berkshire as Town put in a really, really good performance, you

00:23know, both defensively and going forward and they will probably feel a little bit

00:27disappointed headed away from the Select Car Leasing Stadium that they did

00:31not pick up or take home more than just the solitary points. Team news, two

00:37changes made by Gareth Ainsworth as Harrison Biggins came in for his second

00:41start of the season. George Nurse also came in for a rare start. Both of those

00:45players did okay. Town missed a penalty 20 minutes in after a really, really

00:49bright start. They kind of bombarded the Reading goal and probably should have

00:53led, well they definitely should have led because they missed a penalty. John

00:55Marcus was his third consecutive penalty miss and unfortunately for the

01:00Town skipper, who has been very, very good in recent weeks, it was a very

01:03disappointing penalty from Town's talisman, from the player that has

01:08really, really kind of dragged them forward in recent weeks. He didn't get

01:12very good connection on it and unlike the one that he missed at Wrexham, it

01:15didn't bounce back, well it did bounce back to him, but the goalkeeper Joel

01:19Pereira in goal for Reading, who was excellent all night for the hosts, kept

01:24out both efforts from him. Town then, despite being really good in that

01:27opening 25-27 minutes, against the run of play almost really, saw the hosts with

01:32their only shot on target in the first half go ahead. I'm not going to attempt

01:36to pronounce Kevin Abehatem's name, but he was the man who kind of got the

01:41better of Luka Hall on the byline. Disappointing from Luka Hall, who has

01:46been another player who has improved so much under Gareth Ainsworth, but

01:49unfortunately on that occasion he was beaten far too easily at the byline,

01:53crossed to Wareham and he fired home. Town have got that resilient streak to

01:58them and we have seen that so many times in recent weeks. We saw it on Saturday at

02:02Rotherham when the hosts equalised, they went straight back down the other

02:06end and scored and they were not perturbed by going in 1-0 down at the

02:09break and within 10 minutes of the restart they were level. Taylor Perry,

02:13like London buses, he's waited well over a year for a goal and suddenly

02:17to come in the space of three days. A wonderful left-footed strike that was

02:21nodded forward first by Mal Bening and there we go. Both sides pushing for the

02:26win, probably not both sides actually, Shrewsbury were the team pushing for the

02:29win. I've just spoken to Gareth Ainsworth about it there and he kind of

02:32agreed with me that Shrewsbury were the side pushing, their locals were getting

02:35very frustrated as you could hear, you know, almost Reading's kind of taking

02:39their time and being happy with a point which they would be disappointed with, I

02:43am sure. Gareth Ainsworth full of positivity as you would expect, as he

02:47always is in his post-match press interview. He says it doesn't matter

02:50whether it's two points dropped, because they're going to get way

02:53more points than they need to stay up in any case. It's a relatively

02:58positive evening here, you kind of feel that, you know, given how well that they

03:03played, that maybe they could have taken a little bit more away from Reading this

03:08evening, but either way I think Shrewsbury fans will be happy with the

03:12point that they achieved.
