00:00Close to 200 work applicants, or 4 out of 10, who signed up for work in Butuan City

00:06received the thumbs-up sign from the company's employers, who liked what they read and saw

00:11from their resumes and job applications, and took them in on the spot, thanks in part to

00:16the efforts of the Regional Department of Labor and Employment, who hooked these newly

00:19hired with their employers, as we hear more from PIA Caracas' Jennifer Pena-Gaetano.

00:27Of the 493 registered applicants at the Department of Labor and Employment's job fair in Butuan

00:32City, 191 were hired on the spot by various companies.

00:36According to Dole Caraga, these resulted in a 38.7% placement rate, with 3,639 job vacancies

00:44for 42 local employers and 3 overseas employers.

00:47Many of them have been hired as merchandise samplers, teachers, supervisors, service or

00:52dining crews, cashiers, accountant staff, HR assistants, and many others.

00:56I would like to express my gratitude to Dole Caraga for this opportunity.

01:02I am very happy and overwhelmed for this experience because this opportunity paved the way for

01:07me to achieve my dreams.

01:09Dole Caraga Regional Director Jason Balais urged job seekers not to get tired in looking

01:14for jobs to help them reach their dreams and contribute to nation-building.

01:18The job fair also provided applicants with various services from government agencies

01:22such as SSS, Pag-ibig, PSA, PhilHealth, and others.

01:26Mandated to shape the labor and employment sector, the Department of Labor and Employment,

01:31through its sustainable conduct of job fair, has inspired job seekers to patiently look

01:36for decent jobs here and abroad.
