Booms set up in Far East Russia to defend against 'possible oil spill'

Russian workers set up booms (barriers to help contain an oil spill) on a shore of the Far Eastern island of Sakhalin after a Chinese cargo ship, carrying 706 tons of fuel and 56 tons of diesel, ran aground off its coast. In a statement released with the images, the region's governor Valery Limarenko says the booms have been installed 'to prevent a possible oil spill.'
