The West Indies T20 captain was the star for Dubai Capitals, who won their maiden ILT20 title on Sunday in the UAE.

Powell made 63 off 38 balls as Dubai Capitals beat Desert Vipers in the final by four wickets.

The Vipers made 189 for 5, with captain Sam Curran hitting an unbeaten 62.

And in reply, Dubai Capitals got home with four balls to spare, with Shai Hope making a precious 43 as well.

00:04Desert Vipers being put in the bag by Dubai Capitals. The Vipers made a poor
00:08start with Obed McCoy removing Alex Nils for five. Ramanula Gurbaz also made
00:15the same score with McCoy being the one to dismiss the Afghan.
00:20Englishman Max Holden brought some respectability to the innings with a
00:26top score of 76. Captain Sam Curran was next best with 62 not out which
00:34included three sixes. Azam Khan did a cameo by chipping in with 27 of 13
00:42deliveries. He was run out of the final ball when attempting to. Desert
00:48Vipers closed on 189 for five from 20 overs.

00:58shaky start with David Warner playing on to David Payne for four. Then Mohamed
01:02Amir took two wickets and it became 31 for three. West Indian cricketers
01:08Shea Hope and Ravman Powell had to rebuild the innings for the Capitals.
01:11And that'll help that's beautifully timed just an orthodox cricket shot from
01:16Shea Hope. Their partnership was worth 80 runs for the fourth wicket.
01:21Powell was the main star for the batting side giving the
01:27Vipers reason to be concerned. Hope made 43 while Powell top-scored with
01:3463 of 38 balls. After Powell was out Sikandar Raza was there to get a job
01:41done with an unbeaten 34 of just 12 balls. Dubai Capitals reached 191 for 6
01:49in 19.2 overs to win by four wickets. In so doing they were crowned champions.
