00:00I mean, we, you know, gotta keep it real. I mean, it was a horrible game. I mean, we just didn't get

00:04the game that we thought we were going to get in the Super Bowl. I mean, at the half,

00:08you were kind of hoping, all right, you know, maybe Kansas City scores, keeps things close.

00:12But I mean, it was, I mean, I mean, it was the Super Bowl, but I mean, I mean, I gotta be honest,

00:18it was like kind of unwatchable. In fact, it was the first time ever that at the end of the Super

00:21Bowl, I turned it off. Like, I was like, okay, this game is far over. The defense was so good,

00:26the offense did plenty and did plenty enough to win this game. But I think that the Eagles

00:31just deserve all the credit here. Their game planning was far superior to Kansas City.

00:35Absolutely. And I, you know, I think everyone, or at least a lot of people, had this outcome

00:41as a possibility in their minds, at least, you know, Eagles winning comfortably. But I don't

00:46think anyone thought it would actually happen, or at least actually happen like this, this

00:51dominating of a fashion. And the, you know, the Chiefs, they've proven time and time again,

00:56they find a way, they stick around, they have Patrick Mahomes, they make great adjustments,

01:01and it just didn't happen this game. And, you know, a lot of the things I thought were going

01:06to happen didn't. You know, most people would say, oh, if they're going to win that big or

01:10that comfortably, Saquon Barkley probably had a good game. Well, he had almost 100 total yards,

01:16which is solid, but 2.3 yards a carry, 57 yards, I believe it was, on 25 carries. I don't know who

01:22would have predicted that. Certainly not most bettors, I think. A lot of people took a bath

01:27on his under rushing yards. And, you know, Jalen Hurts played great. The receivers played great.

01:33Great game plan. Like you said, on both sides of the ball, the Chiefs just couldn't adjust.

01:38They couldn't get anything going at all. And yeah, we had a terrible Super Bowl. It reminded

01:43me of when I was a kid in the late 80s, early 90s, watching so many of those lopsided Super Bowls

01:50where the NFC just rolled over the AFC. And it was boring. Start to finish. There was a glimmer

01:57of hope. Maybe they'll get, you know, at the end of the first half, maybe they can score here,

02:01they get the ball first. Didn't happen. Just a complete whitewash. And yeah, not a great game.

02:08Just that's what it is. Gotta call it what it was. No, I mean, that's what it was. Like, I mean,

02:13I hear some people trying to justify, well, you know, it had some excitement. I mean, the game

02:17was terrible. I mean, the game was over. Definitely like five minutes into the third quarter. The

02:22Eagles defense. I mean, how about those props, Matt, that they put out there for five plus sacks

02:28for the Eagles was seven to one. That hit a pick six at 17 to one. That hit two. I mean, if you

02:34banked on Vic Fangio, you made a lot of money yesterday. Yeah, there's a lot of talk about

02:38Steve Spagnuolo and his defense coming into the game. Vic Fangio and his, yeah, they got a little

02:44bit of hype, but not as much. But after the game, I think that was the focus. You know, I know at

02:49Sporting News, we wrote on that specifically. When you can generate that kind of pressure

02:54and put up those kind of stats without blitzing once, it's amazing. It's what, it's a great feat.

03:00I tell you what, if you want to talk about this Super Bowl as a great game, that's the focus.

03:05What they did. I think this could replace how people used to talk about what the Giants

03:11defense did to Tom Brady, specifically in the undefeated year, where they generated all that

03:16inside pressure and were able to get to Brady up the middle, make him uncomfortable and force him

03:21into arguably the worst game of his season, if not one of the worst of his career, certainly in

03:27a big moment. I feel like that's going to be the lasting memory of this Super Bowl. As good as

03:32Jalen Hurts was, as great of a year overall as this was for Saquab Barkley, what we're going to

03:38remember from this Super Bowl is the Eagles defense, the way they generated pressure, the

03:43way they limited Patrick Mahomes to arguably the worst game of his career. That's the story of this

03:49game. And it was a sight to behold. If you love defense, if you love defensive game planning,

03:55this was the game for you. And this is the type of game where defensive coordinators will probably

04:00watch the tape for years to come and talk about the masterclass Vic Fangio just unleashed on the Chiefs.
