00:12I get excited. Now let me get you excited as well. I'm a South Jersey kid. I grew up in Camden County

00:17I live in Burlington County. You grew up in Bucks County. I know it well. It's Eagles country

00:21Tell me about your growing up. Were you were you in Eagles country? Big Eagles fan growing up. Beautiful.

00:27First off before we can even talk about Eagles fandom. Where did you go to the shore?

00:31Usually it was Ocean City. My parents have a place in Brigham teen. Okay. Okay. Well, we're gonna start

00:36We're gonna wood and Seattle City. There you go

00:38I'm a Seattle guy still out with the day

00:40See, I just my parents and I when I first got drafted I bought a house in Seattle

00:44That was my first purchase with Seattle Drive. Come on

00:46We just we just sold it because now I live in Arizona playing with the Cardinals

00:50So I don't get to this shore as much but still yeah big Jersey Shore fan

00:53No, look Eagles fan you go to the Giants mortal enemies there. It was it a little bit tough

00:59I mean, honestly you get the contract you get the money

01:01That's where you want to be. But when you got drafted to the Giants a little smile on your face

01:05At first I was like the New York Giants the New York effing Giants. I was saying it not in a positive way, right?

01:10I'm like, yeah, I wanted to go to the Eagles. Yep, and I get to the Giants

01:14It is the best thing that's ever happened to me in my life. I'm a New York Giant through and through. I love the team

01:18I love the Cardinals. They gave me an opportunity as well. So I'd be remiss if I didn't say that but I love New York

01:23The energy of New York is just like it's brought me back

01:25I'm hopeful I'll be able to continue to stay around the team get back up into New York City

01:30So I doing some media on my own, but yeah, I love the New York Giants. That's great

01:35So you go from the Giants to Arizona?

01:36But the more important thing is here because obviously we have a connection since you did play with Saquon Barkley 2023

01:42Yeah, but also before we get to Saquon Barkley

01:45How do you come off of the couch as you like to say into an NFL game?

01:50Like you're ready to go I wasn't and I wasn't ready to go into that game

01:54I told Joe Shane like part of the deal was I get to ramp up. Yeah, I'm playing left guard

01:58I'm not playing any position but and

02:01Literally, we broke all those rules. I got a week to get ready

02:04Yeah, no real practice with pads on I go into the game and they put me at left tackle

02:11Yeah, midway through the game the first series I say straight off the couch

02:14And I lit up two sacks through false start penalty. So what was an ideal?

02:17Yeah, didn't have any time to ramp up, but it was the best thing that could have ever happened

02:21I went out there and I talked to the fans like I love the fans

02:23Yeah, I actually leverage the straight off the couch to get a deal done with Joe Shane the next day

02:27So good man. It's the way you do it man. Just hard work in the entire way through

02:31But also in that locker room was Saquon Barkley. So you mix paths with them

02:34What did you find out about Saquon in your time with the New York Giants?

02:37So like take football away is one of the best human beings I've ever come across

02:40he actually trains in Arizona as well, so I got to know him in Arizona and

02:44I just won nothing but the best for Saquon Barkley. He's a guy that does it the right way

02:49He's a team first guy. He should get paid like there's no reason

02:53I don't want to like there's wide receivers out there that are making double what Saquon is and they didn't register a catch this year

02:58correct and

02:59It's unfair. The running back position has gotten

03:03Beaten up a little bit. Yeah, but then you're starting to see a swing

03:07All those teams like we're not paying running backs, but you know who is who's finding value the Ravens

03:11Yeah, the Eagles. Yeah, the Packers the Texans signing all these guys mixed in Josh Jacobs, Eric Henry

03:17So it's gonna start to swing back in their favor because Saquon Barkley from a skill position

03:21He's more valuable to the team than even the 30 million dollar wide receiver

03:25They have and that's no knock to AJ Brown how good Saquon Barkley is

03:28Yep

03:28Now Saquon Barkley was on that quest to knock off Eric Dickerson to have the single best

03:32Rushing performance in a season by a running back got close but sat out against your New York Giants at that point

03:37Let me understand this from an offensive lineman position because I know offensive linemen take pride on the running back scoring touchdowns

03:44The yards per carry so took me from if Saquon was on your team. You're an offensive lineman

03:49You guys all meet together. How are we gonna handle this? Is it pride for you?

03:53I would have told the team we're going for if I'm Lane Johnson

03:57I'm like, hey, that's a record that has stood for 40 years now

03:59Saquon is gonna break the entire season with regular season and postseason. He's gonna break Terrell Davis's record

04:04He would have broken Eric Dickerson's record

04:06He had 30 less rushing attempts on season two and he came out of games the first time the New York Giants

04:11But he didn't play in the second half. Yeah

04:13so

04:14It really was something that I think he's been one of the MVPs of the league if he was a cool if he was a running

04:20Not a running back and was a quarterback. He would be

04:22He's been an integral part of this and I wish he would have got the break that got would have gotten to break that record

04:26Yeah, it would have been interesting to see if you went that far now

04:29You were a guard and we have a couple really good defensive tackles in the Super Bowl

04:33Chris Jones, Kansas City, then obviously young Jalen Carter for the Philadelphia Eagles

04:36Give me an idea of what you faced at defensive tackle and the guys that may have given you a problem

04:41Aaron Donald like there's there's there's Aaron Donald. There's everybody else and

04:45I haven't seen anyone that's put the fear of God and offensive linemen

04:49Give me a piece of it like when he's like his move just too quick too powerful or both both

04:53Because he shouldn't have the power he has at his height and his get-off. He's innate leverage already

04:58He's not a very tall guy. He's probably six foot six one. Yep, but he's probably strongest pound-for-pound

05:02He is get off like a wide receiver. He's it was a unicorn

05:05I'm glad he retired

05:06But he retired the same year that I said I stopped playing so I had to play against him every single year

05:11So it is what it is. Um, I haven't seen a defensive line

05:15But the fear of God and offensive lines on the interior side. Yeah

05:19Since Aaron but now Jalen Carter. Yeah played against Jalen Carter last year had a chance to go against him and I

05:27remember he would go off the field and Fletcher Cox would come back on and you would be like

05:31Fletcher Cox gonna be in the Hall of Fame and you're actually happy that Jalen Carter was off the field

05:35Which is a crazy crazy crazy statement to make

05:37That's just how good Jalen Carter was and is and he's gonna continue to be he is a game wrecker

05:42He's already won a game for the Eagles in the playoffs the Rams game

05:45Yep, and I have an inkling that he's gonna be a major impact in this game on Sunday fantastic

05:50So again being the Giants, it's hard now an Eagles fan growing up, Kansas City, Philadelphia on Sunday

05:56Andy Reid Andy Reid. Yep. If I was an Eagles fan growing up, I was an Andy Reid

06:02We just saw McNabb walk by

06:04So I truly believe that the Chiefs are a team of destiny and they have Patrick Mahomes

06:09Yeah, I think the Eagles are the best teams

06:11My heart tells me my heart tells me Chiefs

06:14But my head tells me Eagles and I've gone against the Chiefs every year because the Niners were a better team

06:18They had more talent on paper. Yep, the Eagles a year before I had more talent on paper

06:22So I'm falling for the fool's gold I'm gonna go Eagles I don't want them to win I want it to be the other way

06:28I want the Chiefs to win, but I think the Eagles do win. I like it

06:31So we'll get to a couple quick topics here, but also the fit comfortable

06:33I mean we we're living out here and you know, I'm all about comfort

06:57Well, that's what I told Brandon Graham. Yeah, who's a great trash talker for every pound that I've lost Brandon Graham actually has gained

07:04And I said the same thing to Larry Fitzgerald. Yeah, Larry Fisk went from receiver to tight end
