00:00Yeah so we've got a range, we do kids classes, we do amateur classes and we do sort of boxing
00:06fitness type classes. Anything can range probably from about 6 up to about 36, if not in fact
00:13probably up to mid-70s. So we cater as a gym for every age more or less.
00:18And with regard to the children, how many are you catering for?
00:25It varies usually, it's probably between sort of I'd say 15 to, there could be up to nearly 25,
00:3130 kids potentially at some point. Obviously not just by me, there's a group of coaches,
00:36probably about nine coaches that all of us at some point will be in here and giving up
00:40us time and helping everyone. And first of all, why did you get involved in boxing?
00:47A bit through Sam really. I got to know through Sam and then I started training here,
00:53the gym sort of progressed, got busier and I just got involved in boxing. I'm not
00:58massively a sports person but then nine years on I went to boxing and got involved in everything
01:04to do with it. And with the kids, what do you think that they take from boxing? Where do you
01:10think it's important for them to be involved? With the kids, I think it's really rewarding
01:16because when you're at home and you're a young kid and you're running around like a lunatic and
01:21rest of it. I think when you come to a gym you learn a lot of skills and you learn a lot that
01:26probably your parents try and teach you but as a kid you probably don't want to listen,
01:30like every other kid. And here we've got sort of structure, we give them discipline,
01:35we teach them sort of the right and the wrongs of what to do. They get the team bonding,
01:40they make friends, everything on a day-to-day life in a gym really.
01:45And I assume you encourage anyone and everyone to come down?
01:49Yeah, I mean we've been up in Crossgates and we're now in Ariels and literally anybody,
01:55we get every walk of life. We get people that have got ADHD, we get people that suffer from
02:00autism, we get every possible person you could ever think of coming in the gym and everybody's
02:05welcome. Nobody's different, everyone's the same and everyone gets treated the same.
