00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. attended the Open Government Partnership Asia and Pacific Regional Meeting today.

00:08Discussions will be held on the challenges that are being faced in each region of the country.

00:15This is Claycel Pardilian of PTV in Balitang Pambansa.

00:21This is the direction of the Administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

00:29that he gave in the Open Government Partnership or OGP Asia and Pacific Regional Meeting today.

00:37The hosts of OGP are Filipinos, International Gathering and Iniciativa

00:42that can make the government's self-service accountable and transparent to the public.

00:49Through the collaboration and active participation of civil society groups

00:56in the creation of policies, projects, and programs of the government.

01:01Under the new Philippines, the Executive Branch will visit the government's members

01:07who are involved in the Open Government.

01:10As a reminder to the government agencies to remove repeated expenses,

01:17so that the government's income, expenses, and entire fund can be properly managed.

01:24The new Government Procurement Act requires the issuance of information

01:31on the products or services purchased by the government to avoid corruption.

01:36All of this is in accordance with the direction of the new Philippines

01:40that the open and responsible administration should assist

01:43In accordance with Executive Order No. 31 issued by President Enoo in 2023

01:49or the institutionalization of the Philippine Open Government Partnership.

01:54Because of this, it resulted in the Philippine economy becoming the 13th in 100 countries

02:01in terms of public participation in East Asia.

02:07Alan, the OJP will last until tomorrow.

02:10There are more than 4,000 government members,

02:13civil society members, and policy makers from different parts of the world.

02:19High-level meetings, breakout sessions, and side events

02:24will discuss the economy, corruption, and digitalization.
