00:00Those found engaging in vote-buying or abusing state resources may face warrantless arrest.

00:06The Commission on Elections declared in a resolution yesterday.

00:09The CONALEC has issued a Resolution No. 11104

00:14allowing law enforcement to arrest vote-buyers and sellers without a warrant if they are caught in the act.

00:21Under the said resolution, it will expand the authority of the Poll Bodies Committee on Contrabigay

00:27to monitor vote-buying and selling in election 2025.

00:31CONALEC also said that the money or any other goods of value,

00:36sample ballots, and any other campaign materials used for vote-buying and vote-selling

00:41shall be immediately seized and taken into custody by the apprehending law enforcement officer.

00:57... will be prohibited for 10 days before the election.

00:59But the committee led by Commissioner Ernesto Ferdinand Maceda

01:03is pushing for all kinds of aid to be prohibited.
