00:05Gigi kept her distance for a while.

00:07We kind of have big news.

00:09Now do you want me to tell the news?

00:13Of course I'm going to tell you all.

00:15So we're going to foster a dog.

00:17I'm excited, she's excited.

00:19Alright sis, let me talk to you.

00:21This is the last day you get the crib to yourself.

00:23Tomorrow, we're bringing home your foster sister.

00:25That's right.

00:27I wanted to have a discussion with Gigi.

00:29Just to set the energy right.

00:35Gigi was like, what is this thing I'm looking at?

00:39We were introducing them patiently.

00:41It was a big adjustment for her.

00:44A lot of staring by Gigi.

00:46She was like, our whole dynamic has changed.

00:53I decided to foster Aria because Malinois were really flooding the shelters.

00:59Just a baby.

01:02I knew it was going to be something that Gigi and I were both going to have to adjust for.

01:06I was just like, here we go.

01:08So we did a lot of things.

01:10Whether they did sit and stay together.

01:12Or different type of drills and exercises.

01:14We did some together and we did some individually.

01:18They got to kind of learn from each other.

01:22Good girl.

01:23And that helped with their relationship.

01:30Good girl.

01:34For Gigi, I started to see her warm up to Aria around the four to six week mark.

01:42When I saw Gigi starting to warm up to Aria, I felt a little bit better.

01:45It was a relief for me.

01:50When Gigi put her paw on Aria's head and I licked her ear.

01:54And then Aria leaned into it.

01:56I was like, okay.

01:57I think I have to adopt this dog now.

02:02Guess what Dodo fam?

02:03It's official.

02:04We adopted Aria.

02:07Oh my goodness.

02:09She's found her home.

02:11Me being a black man and having a pit bull.

02:13We're always going to have those stereotypes.

02:16And now having a Malinois.

02:18There's always that group that's like, oh they're both so pretty.

02:20And the other group is like, oh they're so scary.

02:22We still have those people who will cross the street.

02:25Good morning ladies.

02:26We're going to have an important discussion today.

02:28We're going to talk about Ural's breed and the stigma behind it.

02:31They say you're scary, aggressive, just a danger to society with that sort of thing.

02:36They say you're bonkers.

02:38They give up on you because you're energy level.

02:40Nobody can handle you.

02:42I'm here to say, guess what?

02:44That's okay.

02:45That's what we're here for.

02:46We're here to work through that.

02:48I think Aria's helped soften the view of us.

02:52I think the most special thing about adopting Aria is that she was a missing beast.

02:57And it's made it even more special because her breed is flooding all the shelters.

03:02And everybody's giving up on this type of breed because of their energy levels.

03:06But she just fit.
