00:00In Indiana, because as part of the story which you can read about over at legalsportsreport.com,

00:04Pat, it looks like not only would online casino come to the state of Indiana, but doubling

00:11the sports betting tax rate too.

00:13So I don't want to lose that sight over the story that you have up here.

00:18Yeah, there's, this is an interesting situation because, you know, less than six months ago

00:23there was a conviction for gambling related conspiracy in the Indiana state legislature.

00:29And that's kind of where we're at.

00:32At the beginning of last session, we heard the Senate leadership saying, we're not going

00:35to act on any gambling issues because of this, we've lost the public trust on this.

00:40We can't, we got to take a little moratorium.

00:42This year, online casino did indeed pass a House committee.

00:47And that's, I think, a huge step after a whole year where they just decided not to talk about

00:51it.

00:52We've also got leadership on both sides of the legislature in Indiana saying, hey, gambling

00:56is such a big industry here.

00:58We need to kind of make sure like we handle it still and not just kind of let it go dead.

01:05But we have to do it right.

01:06And we have to keep in mind that there was this kind of criminal activity around here

01:11that we need to stay cognizant about.

01:13But yeah, we'll see what happens.

01:16You've got two sides of it, both sides of the legislature seemingly open to hearing

01:22this.

01:23The Senate is a little bit more cautious of just going for it for revenue and they want

01:27to get everything right.

01:28Not that the House doesn't, but of course, that's what they're saying from the public

01:32side of it.

01:33So yeah.

01:34And yeah, it does have the little sports betting tie-in of, I guess, not little to your point

01:37of hiking up the tax rate.

01:39So little things here and there.

01:43I mean, everybody's considering online casino now this year and getting further than I almost

01:47kind of expected because of the headwinds we've seen at the U.S. Senate level and the

01:52like.

01:53A lot is happening this spring more so and quicker than I expected.

01:57So I don't know.
