00:00Today, we're looking around the Millennium Bridge, an iconic pedestrian suspension bridge

00:05that spans the River Thames and was made famous around the globe by the Harry Potter films.

00:10Opened in 2000, it was part of the UK's Millennium Celebrations and was designed by

00:13architect Sir Norman Foster.

00:15The bridge connects St Paul's Cathedral with the Tate Modern and the Globe Theatre, offering

00:19stunning views of the city along the way.

00:21It's made from steel and glass, and its minimalist design has made it a favourite for photographers

00:25and visitors.

00:26Interestingly, the bridge initially had to close just days after its opening due to a

00:30strange wobble caused by pedestrians' walking movements.

00:33This was later fixed by engineers, and the bridge now stands as a symbol of modern London.

00:37It's often called the Wobbly Bridge because of this early hiccup, but today it's an integral

00:41part of the city's architecture and offers easy access to some of London's best cultural

00:45landmarks.

00:46The nearest tube stations are St Paul's, which is on the Central line, and Southwark,

00:49which is on the Jubilee line.
