00:10Hundreds of fans and people headed to the city

00:13to enjoy the celebrations for the year of the snake.

00:17The snake is the sixth sign of the zodiac.

00:19It symbolizes wisdom, self-discovery and transformation.

00:23And talking of transformation,

00:25all London celebrations began as a small community event.

00:29But for them, they're now the largest outside of Asia.

00:33The huge turnout today is a testament to your support

00:38for China-UK cooperation,

00:41to your aspiration for working together among all countries.

00:46To our East and Southeast Asian communities

00:49who contribute so much to making our city unique,

00:52we want to say a special thank you

00:54and extend our hand of friendship.

00:57We've seen traditional lion dances, traditional dragon dances,

01:01vibrant costumes, great performances.

01:04We are so excited to, like, see all the, like, familiar faces.

01:10Yeah, they're, like, from our hometown

01:13and it makes us feel like back to home.

01:15I like that London, like, celebrates Chinese New Year.

01:19London is so multicultural, isn't it?

01:21And just to see the cultures all getting along

01:24and being able to celebrate with the people so close to Chinatown,

01:27it's just, yeah, it's just one of those

01:29real heartwarming London kind of things, isn't it?

01:33Well, it's said that touching one of these dragons brings you good luck,

01:36so here's to a great 2025 and the Year of the Snake.
