00:00Sepang OCPD Assistant Commissioner Nohizam Bahaman said a man caught on camera slapping

00:07his wife was detained on Saturday.

00:09He said the police apprehended the man in front of a clinic in Kota Warisan at 10am.

00:14The arrest comes after a complaint lodged by the victim's younger sibling.

00:18The complainant said the victim is her 35-year-old elder sister and the perpetrator is her husband,

00:24who is in his 50s.

00:26During the recent incident, the victim was seen walking out of a shopping mall in Kota

00:30Warisan.

00:32As she approached the exit, she stopped upon seeing the man, who was together with a child.

00:37The man then slapped the woman's face in public while saying something to her.

00:41The woman then left the premises.

00:43The case is being investigated under both the Penal Code and Domestic Violence Act.
