The plane and helicopter crash having occurred on a clear night with good visibility could have been prevented, says former Assistant Deputy Under Secretary for the Air Force Retired Brigadier General John Teichert.

00:05entirely preventable or words to that effect. I mean it certainly looks that

00:09way doesn't it? Tom it does. This was a very clear weather nighttime situation

00:15at about nine o'clock at night that from video cameras that showed the crash from

00:21north of the crash site looking south you could clearly see the lights on

00:26these two aircraft even from that distance and so thinking about where the

00:31confusion happened or the breakdown in communication like President Trump

00:36suspects is probably where the investigators are going to start.
