NGO investigated for sale of fake titles and awards, says Selangor police chief

A non-governmental organisation being investigated for wearing uniforms similar to that of security forces, is also selling fake titles and awards. 00:00On the 3rd of January this year, at around 2.30pm,

00:07a video was captured by the Selangor Police

00:10in a TikTok application through an account

00:13where several individuals were present at a gathering

00:16and were wearing clothes that were almost identical to the uniform.

00:22One session was held under Section 140 of the Penal Code,

00:28Section 50 of the 3rd Article of the Constitution, 1966,

00:33and Section 233 of the Communication and Multimedia Act.

00:37This session was held and 40 individuals were arrested

00:43and 18 were stripped of their clothes along with their badges and badges

00:49as well as their accessories.

00:52In addition, the investigation was also carried out on the premises of their office in Bandar,

00:59on the outskirts of Subang,

01:00which also took things that were believed to be belonging to the individuals of the group.

01:09The result of the investigation found that the gathering was attended by an individual

01:13from this group who was staying at a hotel in Sungai Buluk, Sya Alam.

01:20The clothes that were stripped of belonged to an individual

01:24who was present at the gathering and was a member of the group.

01:30The investigation found that the group registered their badges and badges

01:35that were used on the clothes were not the same as those registered.

01:40The group registered as an NGO.

01:45The badges that were registered were different,

01:47but the badges that were used on their clothes were different.

01:52The accessories that were worn also almost resembled uniform clothing accessories,

01:56those in power such as the army.

02:00The police requested that individuals or organizations

02:03do not wear clothes that resemble uniformed troops

02:07or any badges, badges, badges,

02:10and accessories that can distort the image of the uniformed troops

02:16and are misused for things that are not supposed to be done.

02:20We will ask the Ministry to cancel the registration of these individuals.

02:27And those who are involved in this will be accused in the near future

02:31for the related errors.

02:38We have recorded as many as 40 people who are involved in this group

02:45and the accused are a total of 7 people.

02:52They have no relationship with the dark party,

02:56but we believe that they are selling the status of respect,

03:02and so on, to the public who are involved or are members of this group.

03:08They are not entitled to use or wear these badges and badges.

03:18They are mere NGO badges for charity.

03:27We will ask those who are involved or are victims of these badges

03:34to show their faces to the police for further investigation.
