00:00The Philippines will increase its defense expenditures to further strengthen its military cooperation with our country's allies.

00:08This was announced by National Security Council Assistant Director General Jonathan Malaya

00:13after US President Donald Trump called on his allies to increase their military spending by 2% of their Gross Domestic Product.

00:24According to Malaya, the government continues to pour ReHorizon 3 under the AFP Modernization Program

00:32which is based on the purchase of equipment and weapon systems for the external defense and territorial security of our country.

00:39Malaya also said that the presence of the US Medium-Range Capability Typhoon Missile System is not for the offensive.

00:46It came last year and was used in the training of Filipinos and American soldiers.

00:53China was the first to approve the deployment of the so-called Missile System in the Philippines

00:57where it was said to be a threat to regional peace and security.
