00:07M6 cars says HGV leaves carriageway causing lane closures on 45 minute traffic delays.
00:13Motorists are advised to avoid the M6 this morning after a good vehicle,
00:17HGV, has left the carriageway.
00:21A spokesperson for the National Highways North West said there are delays in excess of 45 minutes
00:28on the M6 between junction 26 and 25 Wigan due to a HGV that has left the carriageway.
00:35The congestion of approximately five miles with two or four lanes closed.
00:41Lancashire Garden Centre beats over 200 competitors to be named best in the UK.
00:46Barton Grange Garden Centre in Preston is celebrating after being named destination
00:51garden centre of the year at the Garden Centre Association 2024 awards.
00:56It received the prestigious title of best large garden centre in the UK as a ceremony held at
01:03De Vere Workfield Estate in Reading on Tuesday.
01:08The GCA represents more than 200 garden centres nationwide and each year rewards the centres that
01:15set that benchmark for high retailing standards within the industry.
01:20The awards recognise quality standards not only of the products and department but also

01:27Why a popular bowling and mini golf venue has closed suddenly.
01:33Chorley Council confirmed on Tuesday the escape entertainment venue in Market Walk had shut down.
01:40They said the reason for this was due to the owner falling into significant rent arrears.
01:46In a statement posted on social media a spokesman for Chorley Council said
01:51no one wants to see an established business in the town centre close and we have only taken
01:56possession of the property as a last resort.
02:00We know that since Covid-19 and through the ongoing challenges of the cost of
02:04living crisis that many in the hospitality industry have struggled.

02:43Although most of the TBR building has already been demolished and replaced by
02:47modern commercial units a number of firms stayed on the site until recently.
