00:04Here is a daily bulletin. Plans to convert a former hotel in Blackpool into HMO are thrown

00:10out due to significant oversupply. A bid to convert a former hotel in one of Blackpool's

00:16main holiday areas into bedsits has been thrown out by Town Hall planners. The application had

00:21sought permission for the change of use for the former Anakin House Hotel and Palatine Road into

00:27a 10-bedroom HMO housing multiple occupations, with each room designed for single occupancy.

00:34But Town Hall planners have refused the application on the grounds it went against

00:37council policies aimed at preventing empty accommodation being converted for use as poor

00:44quality housing. St Anne's woman knocked down by Honda Civic in Clifton Drive and taken to

00:49hospital in serious condition. A 78-year-old woman is seriously injured in hospital after

00:55being knocked down in St Anne's. The pensioner was struck by a Honda Civic in Clifton Drive around

01:021pm on Friday, January 3rd. Emergency services were called to the scene and the road was closed

01:09for a number of hours while police investigated. Tragedy after man found dead on M61 motorway as

01:16Greater Manchester Police appeal for witnesses. A police investigation is underway after a man

01:22was found dead on the M61 in the early hours of the morning. Emergency services were called to the

01:28scene at Southbound Junction 6 for Middlesbrough at 4.30am yesterday, Saturday, January 4th.

01:36The motorway was closed for around 12 hours while police investigated, before reopening around 6.30pm.

01:43Greater Manchester Police say it does not believe that there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding

01:48the man's death, but is appealing for anyone who has witnessed the tragedy incidents to get in touch.
