00:10Two men were killed after a boat was burned down in Barangay Daanghari, Navotas City last night.

00:16Around 9.22 p.m. last night, the Bureau of Fire Protection called

00:20and said the storage room of the upper ballast of the boat MV Aman Sinaya was on fire.

00:25According to Navotas City Fire Marshal Fire Superintendent Ronaldo Sanchez,

00:30they immediately noticed that there were combustibles inside the boat due to the high fire inside.

00:55Two men, a subcontractor and a welder, were found dead inside the blazing storage room.

01:04According to the investigation, it is possible that the two men suffocated due to the high fire.

01:11At the bottom of the boat, there are small manholes.

01:19We can also see that the doors are small and far from each other.

01:26The two victims suffocated, so they were found just a few steps away from the fire.

01:37There are 20 to 25 people who are working as welders in different parts of the boat that caught fire.

01:44Gitni Sanchez, even though the captain of the boat is there, he will not be responsible for the so-called incident

01:51because the contractor has the responsibility to put a fire watch and a safety officer in the shipyard while the boat is being loaded.

01:59Currently, the BFP is still investigating if the contractor of the boat violated the fire code.
