00:00The story to watch in 2025, definitely the story of the partnership between one of the sportsbooks

00:07and the airlines. And, you know, when this broke a couple of weeks ago, we thought, oh, you know,

00:11really what's going to happen with this really seems like the more I'm reading, the more that

00:17the airlines would like to get sports betting in the air going. And I think it's going to take some

00:21time because, again, you're flying over different states, they have different, you know, legal and

00:26not legal places that you can do it. It almost, Pat, reminds me of these cruises where you used to,

00:32you know, be able to bet where you took offshore and then you could bet, bet, bet all you wanted.

00:36And then as soon as you came back, you couldn't bet anymore. It reminds me a little bit of this

00:41too. And I wonder what ends up happening with this. Yeah. So, well, here we have a bill in

00:46Connecticut that was filed. And I think it is a little prematurely because of some things I'll

00:50get into in a second. But basically this bill was filed, I think probably a little bit in response

00:56to the DraftKings and Delta partnership, which we'll talk about kind of the little details in a

01:00minute. But basically what it does was any flight originating or ending in Connecticut,

01:08in Connecticut borders, you can bet. But the problem with that is, is betting on airplanes

01:13is illegal federally due to some old acts. So I don't even know if this could supersede that.

01:19That would probably, I don't know if anybody would even care to take it in court. It probably just

01:22wouldn't be offered by the sports books because they don't want to try to stay on the up and up

01:26in all their, all their other markets. So we'll see what happens there. What's interesting is

01:33the DraftKings Delta announcement. We still don't know a ton about it. It was announced by

01:37the Delta CEO at CES. You know, it sounds like no, like real gambling, real money gambling,

01:44just kind of games would be implemented. You know, how you could in their seat, like seatback

01:49or even the app seatback entertainment councils, they have all sorts of games. You can play poker

01:54and whatever. It's not for real money. I think that's kind of what they're, they're toying at

01:58right now. You know, U.S. airspace is a whole lot different than international waters. I think

02:04I do like your analogy, but it is a little different. You know, and cross border sports

02:09betting is a little problematic, I think in that sense as well at the federal level.

02:13So yeah, a lot of weird kind of loopholes to get. It is interesting to see a state

02:18lawmaker already saying, hey, this is kind of fun. Let's try to see if we can get a little bit

02:21more tax money out of this because I think 1% of that revenue would go to public education

02:26in Connecticut. So it is an interesting bill. We'll see if it moves at all. But of course,

02:32to your point, we have a lot more to see how sports betting in the skies develops, if at all.

02:40I think we could certainly see other partnerships emerge between Sportsbooks and, and airlines,

02:47much like we saw in the early days of Sportsbook partnerships with sports teams.

02:51You know, this is still a potentially good consumer acquisition point.
