00:00Again, the Department of Social Welfare and Development, DSWD,

00:05has promised that the programs will not be used in politics with the help of the agency.

00:10According to DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian,

00:13it is the social workers themselves who choose the beneficiaries

00:17and not anyone else.

00:19Gatchalian made a statement in front of the commelect ban

00:24in the programs of the government

00:26so that there will be a clear decision in the House of Representatives in Hato ng Bayan 2025.

00:31Gatchalian assured that the DSWD will remain open

00:35to all those in need even if the programs are suspended.

00:41Not because there is an election, we will stop.

00:43If not, the program will stop, but our campaign,

00:47our role in social protection, social welfare,

00:50it will continue. That is what the exemption gave.
