Finch Farm, Liverpool, UK
Transcript
00:00And now you've made changes to your backroom staff with Alan Irvine coming in, what's it like to be working with Alan once again?
00:04Well, it's great to have Alan back, you know, but I've got Billy, I've got Alan, I've got Bainsey, I've got Charlie.
00:11They're all my assistants, you know, so they'll all be given the same title.
00:15They'll all be working under me.
00:17They'll all be delegated with certain roles and jobs to do behind the scenes.
00:21But I think more importantly, I've got great trust in Alan and his loyalty and how he performs and how he works.
00:29And I've been with Billy for so long now, he knows me inside out.
00:33So it's really important that I do have people, especially, I think, with the situation we're in and where we are as a club at the moment.
00:39Let's get it done and try and get to the end of the season and make sure that we're a Premier League team.
00:44What's he'll do with Charlie as well as a set-piece coach?
00:47Well, there is no such thing, actually, you know, there's no coaching courses to become a set-piece coach.
00:53You know, people train themselves up and I think it will become something.
00:57I've got to say, probably all the associations will be looking at in the future.
01:01But I think I was always looking for somebody who would be good at understanding deliveries, understanding, you know, striking the ball, etc.
01:10But it's just a part of the job, which if you can give it over and pass it over and delegate it in some way.
01:17And I just felt that Charlie's into the summer.
01:18We'll see how he does in the meantime.
01:21And hopefully we can score a few more goals if possible.
