00:00The Department of Foreign Affairs, or DFA, is currently conducting an investigation into

00:05the alleged espionage activities of a foreign national in the Philippines who is reportedly

00:10collaborating with Filipinos.

00:12The department is also ready to assist the DOJ, NBI, AFP, and other government agencies

00:17in the investigation.

00:19This statement follows the arrest of a Chinese national earlier this week who is suspected

00:22of espionage.

00:23It should be noted that authorities recovered equipment believed to have been used for espionage

00:28from military facilities.
