00:00A suspected Chinese spy was arrested by the National Bureau of Investigation, or NBI,

00:05outside the Commission on Elections, or COMLEC, office with a device that could intercept calls

00:10in Texas within three kilometers. Authorities suspect he was gathering election-related data.

00:16He claimed to be a tourist unaware of the device. He will face charges under espionage,

00:21data privacy, and cybercrime laws. The NBI is continuing its investigation,

00:26while the Commission on Elections assures no election data was compromised.
