Various sections of the M32 will be closed overnight during the next six weeks to allow National Highways to carry out structural inspections and surveys on the Eastville viaduct.

Various sections of the M32 will be closed overnight during the next six weeks in January

and February. Multiple sections of the motorway will be

closed to allow National Highways to carry out structural inspections and surveys on

the Eastville Viaduct. The survey work started in November 2024 on the underside of the viaduct

and the next stage will be to focus on the top side of the structure during night times

in which the motorway will be closed. Councils have decided to conduct these surveys

to assess the current condition of the M32 motorway and to identify future work repairs
00:47
that may be needed. The planned closure will mostly take place
00:52
overnight which will allow the surveys to be carried out safely during the quieter hours.
