00:00PhilHealth repaid the public's concern for their services in spite of the issue in their fund.

00:06According to PhilHealth, instead of getting weaker, their benefits are getting stronger.

00:17Joshua was told by the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation that they will make their services look better

00:23in spite of the issue regarding their fund for this year.

00:28In the continuation of the House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability

00:34on the Zero Subsidy of PhilHealth under the 2025 National Budget,

00:40PhilHealth President and CEO Emanuele Desma Jr. repaid the public's concern

00:46regarding their benefits and services.

00:49That is after the government withdrew their subsidy from the General Appropriations Act for this year.

00:56According to Desma, President Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr. himself gave condolences

01:01and ordered that their work should not be affected, especially since they have their own fund.

01:07This is also their point from the start.

01:10Desma also said that instead of getting weaker, their benefits are getting stronger.

01:15Meanwhile, aside from this, a separate hearing was held by the House Committee on Justice

01:21regarding the presumption of impunity against extrajudicial killings as heinous crimes

01:26that were committed by the House Quad Committee.

01:30At this point, let's go back to the part of the statement of PhilHealth President and CEO Emanuele Desma Jr.

01:51will showcase even much better results stemming from the strategic, organizational, streamlining,

01:57and operational refinements that have been carried out in the past two years under my administration.

02:03We came out with new benefit packages just this month to address pressing healthcare needs.

02:09Joshua, aside from this, in each and every hearing here on camera,

02:13the new amendments of the bills continue to be discussed.

02:18For example, House Bill 11211,

02:21which is the amendment to impose a death penalty by firing squad

02:27on politicians or officials of the government

02:30who have proven to be guilty of grasp and corruption, malversation of public funds, and plunder.
