00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. is urging the Department of Budget and Management, or DBM,
00:06to provide sufficient funds for legacy projects and programs affected by adjustments
00:12or changes to the 2025 General Appropriations Act of the Congress.
00:17The DBM said that they are ready to remedy the lack of funds from the Departments for the fiscal year 2025.
00:25This is done through the modification of the allotment,
00:28the use of savings to augment deficient items,
00:33or the use of contingent funds or unprogrammed appropriations, and others.
00:39In addition, the available allotments within the budget of the agency
00:44can be declared as savings.
00:47Second, the contingent fund can be tapped
00:51to cover the funding requirements of new or urgent projects.
00:56And lastly, the DBM said that the infrastructure programs and social programs under the SAGIP program
01:04can be covered by unprogrammed appropriations.
