00:06President Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr. and his Cabinet discussed the guidelines for the budget for the programs and projects under the 2025 National Budget.
00:19Along with the Cabinet were Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, NEDA Secretary Arsenio Balisacan, and Budget Secretary Amena Pangandaman.
00:28There were also Social Welfare Secretary Rex Gatchalian and Labor Secretary Benvenido Laguesma when the Cabinet met yesterday, Friday.
00:38Before the end of 2024, President Marcos passed the 2025 National Budget, which is worth more than Php 6 trillion.
00:48President Marcos first gave the D.A. that each cent of the National Budget will be used for the development of programs that will improve the lives of Filipinos and the country.
01:03The DOTR Department of Transportation is confident that it will be able to use many more projects this 2025 and in the coming years.
01:13According to Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista, this project includes the North-South Commuter Railway, Metro Manila Subway, and MRT-7 Rail Line.
01:25It also includes the privatization of the operation of EDSA Subway or Busway, modernization of Ninoy Aquino International Airport, and other regional airports.
01:36It is also expected that the 147-kilometer NSCR Clark to Valenzuela Segment will be operational in 2027 or the first half of 2028.
01:47According to the DOTR, all of these projects will surely help in speeding up transportation in the country.
