00:00And so we just, we couldn't capture him, there was too much going on.
00:14We could see the fire from the front door and so we just didn't have enough time and
00:21we had to leave him.
00:22And so I've been checking every day on the Pasadena Humane website to see if any possibility
00:30if he's there.
00:31And last night I saw a picture and the picture's rough, you can hardly see him, but I just
00:36knew that, you know, I thought that was him and so I knew I just had to get here right
00:41away for any possibility that it could be him and it was and it's just an amazing moment
00:47that I didn't think that we were going to get.
00:50I think he has singeing on his paws, he has a burn injury on his nose and so, and I'm
00:55sure he's just so stressed out and so we're just going to try to take the best care of
01:00him that we can.
01:08So we were nervous because we weren't sure if it was actually him.
01:11So we came early just in case, you know, in case they got busy or something.
01:16So we, yeah, we were really nervous waiting for him to see if it was him or not.
01:20There's been like a lot of scares though too because he's seen like a lot of dogs that
01:24look like him but it wasn't him.
01:25But yesterday when our family friend showed us the dog, we were like, that's him for sure.
01:30Yeah, yeah.
01:31He looks darker though because he was out somewhere for a while so he needs a shower.
01:36But we know it's him for sure.
01:38Yeah, you could tell the energy and the vibe when we went to see him in the kennel that
01:42he was, that was their dog.
01:45It's really hard, you know, keep thinking about it every day, thinking about him every
01:48day and just wondering if he's ever going to come back home.
01:51And even though we knew that it was going to possibly be him, he still couldn't even
01:55sleep.
01:56Like all night he was not sleeping because he just was anxious.
01:59I couldn't sleep last night because I was happy.
02:00I was trying to see if it was actually him or not.
02:03Yeah.
02:04So today is the 10th day, 10th or 11th day since the fires broke out.
02:09So we're hoping that today we can do a lot of reunifications with people who had to
02:14evacuate with their pets.
02:16The very first day that the fire broke out, we took in over 300 animals.
02:22So people who were able to evacuate from the fires and were able to bring their pets with
02:25them and had no place to go that would, you know, where they could take their pets.
02:30The difficult thing is we've also, since this started, taken in 270 stray animals.
02:36And so that means, you know, they were found in the field by our animal control who's out
02:41patrolling or they were found by concerned citizens who, you know, were able to stop
02:46and get the animals and bring them in to us.
02:49And it's already started, we've already returned over 250 pets back to their families, which
02:54is amazing.
02:55And we're hopeful that as more and more areas are, people are allowed back in, that more
03:02people will be able to come get their pets back from us.
