Kieron Pollard hit 36 in vain as MI Emirates lost to leaders Desert Vipers, which is the team of another West Indian in Sherfane Rutherford.

MI Emirates made 159 for 6, with captain Pooran getting just 15.

In reply, Desert Vipers made 161 for 5 from 19.1 overs, with Fakhar Zaman getting 67, while Rutherford smashed 21 not out of only eight deliveries.

00:07Openers Kosal Perera and Mohamed Waseem had a partnership with 48 runs.
00:14Waseem was all for 18 while Perera fell for 33.

01:09When Desert Vipers responded, Fakhar Zaman and Alex Hales gave them a good start.
01:17The two put on a partnership with 62 runs for the first wicket.
01:23But My Emirates did fight back with Hales being bowled by Waqar Salamkhil for 34.
01:30Then Dan Moseley took two wickets and that made it 71 to 3.
01:37But Zaman was batting well and he was a threat to the opposition.
01:44Giving him good support was England all-rounder Sam Curran with the two putting on 65 for the fourth wicket.
01:51Zahoor Khan removed the Pakistani for 67 and then Curran for 28 to add some spice to the contest.
01:59But Shofien Rutherford's cameo was good enough to see his side getting over the line.
02:07The left-handed West Indies batter made 21 not out of just 8 balls to take Desert Vipers to 161 for 5 from 19.1 overs.
02:15The Vipers lead the standings with 3 wins from as many matches while My Emirates are third on the 16 table.
