00:00The Philippines strengthened its cooperation with Japan and America

00:06when President Bobong Marcos spoke to the Foreign Minister of Japan and the outgoing US Vice President Kamala Harris.

00:21Even though there was a call from China to remove their monster ship from the exclusive economic zone of the Philippines,

00:32the Philippines will still insist on the bilateral consultation mechanism or talks between the two countries in Xiamen, China tomorrow.

00:40The Philippines will demand the pull out of the monster ship.

00:43We will certainly raise the concerns we have.

00:46Until yesterday, 77 nautical miles west of Capones Island saw the largest coast guard ship of China.

00:55This was commented by the Japanese Foreign Minister in the Philippines.

01:00Japan strongly opposes any attempt to unilaterally change the status quo by force or build up tension in the region.

01:13We strongly ask for easing of tensions.

01:16Minister Iwaya Takeshi met with President Bobong Marcos

01:21to strengthen the entire partnership between the Philippines and Japan

01:25as well as the trilateral cooperation of the two countries in America.

01:30Japan will continue assistance to the Philippines including the OSA in enhancing maritime security

01:41and ODA for improving maritime safety capabilities.

01:45We stress the importance of adhering to international law, especially the 1982 UNCLOS.

01:51And we will work together, leveraging our strengthened strategic partnership with other like-minded states.

01:58Japan also considered the peaceful movement of the Philippines to fight for the rights

02:03in accordance with the 2016 arbitral ruling that will destroy the 9-9 claim of China.

02:10The rule of law and the rights of the Philippines in the West Philippine Sea were also discussed.

02:15President Bobong Marcos and outgoing U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris also talked on the phone.

02:22China still has no direct involvement in the statement of Japan and the DFA.

02:27Although the Chinese Foreign Ministry called on the Philippines

02:30to stop any illegal activities and any false accusations.
